Tom Blake took issue with some comments made during the campaign season. He told the Clay City Council on August 4 that he hoped the rhetoric would stick to the truth.

Blake said many seniors want a park for the children to have to play sports. He said he is for it. He said he pictures ball fields with children playing and picnic areas. "Give us respect," said Blake. 

Blake said each department, including seniors, should make a budget for next year. 

When Blake sat down, the audience applauded.
