The Clay Citizens for Change distributed a brochure which gave information about the candidates they endorsed. It also had their website address. One thing it was missing was the required disclaimer which gives who paid for it and the address.

Councilman-elect L.B. Feemster said that was an oversight. He said he checked with an attorney and if he places an ad in the local newspaper giving the disclaimer, then they will be ok. 

State law says that leaving off the disclaimer is a misdemeanor.  Feemster said that the brochure only had information about the endorsed candidates and not the opposing candidates. He said that the website address was on the brochure and the website has the proper disclaimer.
