On May 16, several Clay teens spent part of their Saturday cleaning up around Cosby Lake.  After collecting trash along the shoreline, Will Hoffman, Jake Hoffman, Olivia Vaughn and Blake Sunderland used a rowboat to reach trash in the deeper parts.

"The beaver dams at the entrance to Steeplechase have created deep pools where much trash has accumulated, but they all admit cleaning up in the beavers habitat was fun too," said Beth Hoffman. "Service to the community of Clay was their primary focus."

The students collected over 500 lbs of trash.  Will, Olivia and Blake are students at Clay-Chalkville High School and Jake attends Clay-Chalkville Middle School.
