The Cash Connection was robbed on August 8 as the store was opening. Now Crime Stoppers is asking for help in identifying the offender.
According to Lt. Randy Christian with the Sheriff's Office, an employee called and reported she was robbed at the Cash Connection on Old Springville Road. But she was acting too upset to be interviewed. She was transported to St. Vincent's East.
Later, the employee, Shravon Brown, 22, was found to have felony warrants out of Las Vegas for forgery and theft, said Christian. She was arrested after being released from St. Vincent's. Christian said no weapon was seen.

The City of Clay Building Inspector Superintendent  Lynn Burch is now designing a concession stand to be constructed behind the future library at the Clay City Park. The new concession stand will be much smaller than the one behind the creek, but it will have a very similar look, said Burch.
Mayor Ed McGuffie said he hoped to have it finished in time for little league football games but acknowledged they may not reach that goal. After the plans are finished, he said construction will likely take 30 days to complete.
The expected cost for the building is $170,000 said McGuffie.

The Clay City Council approved purchasing four traffic radar signs at a total cost of $12,424. These signs will be placed at different locations in Clay so drivers will see how fast they are going.
Councilman L.B. Feemster said hardwiring the signs to power lines is more cost effective long term than solar power.
Mayor Ed McGuffie said some people don't think about their speed until they see the sign letting them know.
In addition to notifying drivers, the signs keep a record of traffic speed statistics and traffic counts.
